Fostering Deeper Connection in the Colder Months
As the colder months roll in, there's a distinct shift in mood, both in nature and in the way we interact with the world around us. The temptation to stay indoors grows, and the challenge for those of us in the hospitality industry is clear: how do we make our spaces so inviting that guests want to venture out, even when staying tucked in sounds far more appealing?
The Makers: Coffee roaster, Dan Webber
Dan Webber founded Surrey based coffee roastery Chimney Fire in 2017. Since then the business has been bringing customers sustainably sourced coffee that gives back to growers. We spoke to Dan to find out more about his ethical approach to business and to find out what really goes into making the perfect cup of coffee.
The Makers: Food photographer, JP Baudy
Former chef JP Baudey switched careers in 2010 when he realised his passion for food photography. His stripped back photography shines a spotlight on beautifully crafted dishes and the talented chef’s creating them. We wanted to learn more about what lead JP to food photography and what he’s loving in the world of food right now.
The Makers: Ceramicist, Gabby Smith
Gabby Smith designs and makes hand-formed ceramics in her tiny home-studio in Ashdon, Essex. We recently had the chance to work with her on a series of commissions, including her most ambitious project to date.
