In an era where sustainability has moved from buzzword to imperative, the luxury hospitality sector finds itself at a critical juncture. The very nature of luxury, with its emphasis on opulence, exclusivity, and indulgence, seems to clash with the ethos of sustainability, which advocates for minimalism, resource efficiency, and responsibility. Yet, as a studio who specialises in sustainable design, we believe that luxury and sustainability are not mutually exclusive. In fact, they can, and should, complement each other. Here's how.

Dan Webber founded Surrey based coffee roastery Chimney Fire in 2017. Since then the business has been bringing customers sustainably sourced coffee that gives back to growers. We spoke to Dan to find out more about his ethical approach to business and to find out what really goes into making the perfect cup of coffee.
