[FILM] Building The Boathouse

In 2021 we began work on a very special project - designing the interiors of a new building on the banks of the River Wey in Guildford, commissioned by the Meins family - The Boathouse. They asked us to ensure that everything we specified for the building gave back to the world in a positive way, and over the course of the next two and a half years, that’s exactly what we did.

Very early in the build, we realised this was a very special project that would exist at the heart of the community for years to come, so we suggested they document the project in a short film. Our good friend, filmmaker Fraser Stephen, visited the site every few months, interviewing the historians, architects, builders and craftspeople who brought this building to life.
